Play Space Associate (Sandmagineer) – Part-time

Sandmagination is an indoor children’s play facility featuring sand-based play activities. The facility provides a safe environment where children and parents can engage in sensory play with sand and age-appropriate equipment. A small café area offers prepackaged snacks and beverages for parents. The facility also includes a designated event space for birthday parties and private gatherings. Sandmagination operates under strict cleanliness and safety protocols, with staff overseeing play areas and ensuring compliance with facility rules.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, assist with tickets, food and beverage sales and birthday bookings.
• Process payments using a POS system
• Supervise play areas to ensure safe and respectful play while enforcing Sandmagination’s policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by sanitizing toys, raking and refreshing sand, and following incident response protocols when necessary.
• Engage with customers, answer questions, and assist families with their needs.
• Monitor and restock the café area as needed.
• Set up and break down birthday party rooms and assist with special events.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, common areas, and entryways.

Requirements

• 16 or older.
• Able to work a flexible schedule during operational hours. This can include normal business hours, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Strong guest service and communication skills with the ability to create a positive play environment.
• Previous experience in a high volume, customer-facing role (in an industry like entertainment, retail, service, fitness, etc.), is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, engaging, and patient demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or Portuguese preferred) are a plus.
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
